If the formula `y=x^3` is changed by adding five (shown in red below), what effect would that change have on the function's values?
`f(x)=x^3`+5
What effect would it have on the graph?
It would add five to all the y-values. You can think of `x^3` as the original `y`-value since it's equal to `y` in the original equation. The +5, adds five to the `y`-values.
